Sky: Children of the Light: The Lone Wolf Reboots

The sky was so, so blue, and the clouds so, so white. I lay perfectly still in an empty meadow. It was summer, and the flowers and grass here seemed full of life. A light breeze brushed past my ears, while the giant Kun above me let out a low murmur from time to time. It was so quiet, as if I were the only person in the whole world.

This was just one of the countless times I’d spaced out, and I couldn’t put my feelings into words. The confusion, excitement, joy, helplessness, sorrow, sadness, loneliness, and calm... It was as if they had all been poured into a still pool. I couldn’t fish them out, but neither would they disappear.

They all called me “Lone Wolf.” And yes, it really did feel as though the world had completely forgotten me. Maybe one day I’d vanish without a trace.

I wanted to do something, but what could I do? Time couldn’t turn back, and I couldn’t return to the past. At the thought, the emptiness in my heart seemed to grow several times larger. I covered my face with my arm, so anyone passing by wouldn’t see my sorrowful expression.

One face after another flashed through my mind. Some of them smiled at me, some ran alongside me, some stood in front of me to protect me, and some hugged me and said, “See you later...”
