Five hundred years ago in the immortal realm, Ye Dingzhi was peerless at both alchemy and artifact refining, earning the name "Ghost Hand." Betrayed by his sworn brother, he leapt into a forbidden zone of death with the Creation Bell...
Immortals are merely people with deeper cultivation. They cannot live as long as heaven and earth!
Five hundred years later, Yang Muchuan, an outer sect elder of the Sky Enlightenment Sect on the Qianlong Continent, brought home a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. The child had only an ancient jade pendant engraved with the character "Xiao" and a plain-looking storage ring. Yang Muchuan named him Xiao Yun.
Xiao Yun was born with five-element spiritual roots, all of the highest, purple grade. Think he's exceptionally gifted? Wrong! They're nothing but useless mixed spiritual roots, commonly known as dead roots!
But one day, he opened that plain-looking storage ring, and his life changed beyond recognition...
The world went completely mad because of him. Useless three-root and four-root cultivators, you say? They don't exist! Those are exactly the roots I need!
Are Ye Dingzhi from five hundred years ago and Xiao Yun from five hundred years later connected?
Cheating? That's impossible! But cheating sure is satisfying! The more you cheat, the better it feels!
The writing is pretty good and the plot is compact.
Grinding and chirping...
You can read it at the beginning, but stop reading after more than 20 chapters, so the writing style is not my favorite.
