After the abandoned child Heathcliff was adopted, he was humiliated in every possible way by the young master Hendry. In addition, he had a difficult relationship with the young lady Catherine and went out to get rich. When he returned, he found that Catherine was married. His mixed emotions of love and hate triggered his nerves for revenge, and a crazy revenge swept towards his love rival, Linton. When he saw the two loving children Hareton and Cathy who were scarred by the revenge plan, he remembered his love with Catherine. He gave up revenge and chose to die on hunger strike. Apart from the beautiful memories of childhood love, the true joy of his life was only revealed at the moment of his hunger strike, and he left this world with a smile.

More than 20 years ago, I wanted to read this book when I was a student, but I really couldn't read it and gave up before I was halfway through it! Now that I have reread it, I can now understand the protagonist's twisted behavior, complex narrative structure, and repressed emotions! There are not only beautiful things in this world, but also many realistic things!
The translation is very fluent and beautiful. I feel that the classics are not the same as the online texts. They are usually from a third perspective, which is very strange. Generalized.
Awesome, awesome, awesome
When I was very young, I learned about the story of the three Bronte sisters in a text. It wasn't until the movie was re-screened a few days ago that I remembered that I had never read the novel.
Every time I see Heathcliff not allowing Hareton to receive an education, I feel like Heathcliff was treated like Hendry when he was a child. . . Heathcliff did it on purpose, and so did Hendry. But I still feel that the grudges of one generation should not be transferred to the next generation. Although Hendry is hateful, and I am not qualified to ask Heathcliff to forgive him, Hareton as a child was innocent.
It was Heathcliff who personally turned Hareton into himself, and he had the content of Catherine's lectures for him. By the time Hareton wanted to catch up with little Catherine, it was already too late.
Just all kinds of discomfort, all kinds of empathy. I think if I had less empathy I wouldn't be in so much pain. I have always said that empathy is a gift from God, but this gift makes me so painful. I am also sensitive and have low self-esteem, I like to think wildly and want to end this pain, and I am timid and scared.
Although I haven't read much, I am always moved by the words and feel calm and relaxed.
