The author began conceiving The Wild Lilies of the Marsh in early 1994. After more than four years of development, the story gradually took shape and was finally completed in 1996. It underwent further revisions in 2006, and after twelve years of twists and turns, the work was brought to a complete end. The Wild Lilies of the Marsh is divided into two parts: Part One, Cold Spring, and Part Two, Reborn. The story centers on the protagonist, Xia Hua, with the Moonlit Bridge by Xinhu Lake serving as its consistent setting. Xia Hua, Gao Kun, Xia Hua's father and grandmother, the writer Siyue, and overseas characters Ling Feng, John, and Mia are among the supporting cast whose stories branch out and intertwine throughout the novel.
The Washington chapters abroad, the experiences of life in the Daliang Mountains, and the development of the Daliang Mountains in Reborn were added later, along with adventures and life experiences in the uninhabited regions of Hoh Xil, Lop Nur, Qiangtang, and the Altun Mountains. These precious details were all added in the later revisions, born from a resonance created by souls meeting and colliding.
After being released from prison and starting anew, Xia Hua founded Jiangzhou Lights and Shadows Film and Media Company, and the relationship between Xia Hua and Gao Kun grew deeper. Later, Xia Hua established an international branch in Washington and devoted many pages to snapshots of Chinese American life. In the end, they returned to their roots: Xia Hua and Gao Kun came back to China to develop their business, while their daughter Tongtong took charge of the operations overseas. Back in China, Xia Hua experienced life in the Daliang Mountains and later worked to develop the region and improve the lives of its people. The group later set off to explore and experience life in the uninhabited regions of Hoh Xil, Lop Nur, Qiangtang, and the Altun Mountains. All these experiences laid a solid foundation for what lay ahead.
I read 10 chapters in one go. I was very moved and worth recommending.
A good book full of positive energy. You must read every episode. I was moved to tears many times by the storyline. Worth recommending Only when you truly understand the cycle of life can you truly feel relieved. The world is full of vicissitudes. It is gold that will eventually shine. I wish you well. Great book! I read Two Points last night, a great book and very touching!
It is an inspirational story. I don't know what the song means when I first hear it, but when I read it again, I already know what the song is about.
