Superpowers Descend Upon the World: Starting as a Temp Worker

[Urban supernatural powers, ensemble cast, otherworld, instances, wild fantasy, not overpowered, slow burn, comeback, System?] What are supernatural powers? People always say they are gifts from the gods. Three years after supernatural powers began reshaping the real world, Liu Sheng was caught up in an accident. An ordinary, passionate young man stepped through fate's portal and boarded a last train that should never have existed. A silent, oppressive fog, a ruined yet solemn stone temple, and a group of ancient survivors. Liu Sheng, who had dreamed of becoming a hero since childhood, finally saw his dream come true. He became a wielder of supernatural powers, but unfortunately received the lowest possible rating. Instead of the glamorous urban life he had imagined, this lowly D-rank temp had to navigate his way among powerful ability users. Life was peaceful, but Liu Sheng always felt that some unknown mission weighed on his shoulders. Because he had a secret he couldn't yet reveal. It was the outstretched hand of a group of unyielding souls, reaching across the divide between life and death after giving everything they had. So what are supernatural powers, really? They answered Liu Sheng: they are the filthiest shackles held in the hands of “fate.”
