Newly appointed sketch artist Yan Siyao, encyclopedia of forensic knowledge Jiang Yu, decisive major-crimes squad leader Yan Sitai, his devoted young follower Wei Le, computer whiz Tang Ye, and deputy squad leader Ling Feng work together to uncover the truth behind case after case. Through each investigation, they witness all sides of the human condition, feel the complexity of human emotions, and come away with new insights and personal reflections.
Note:
1. The focus is on solving cases, with romance as a secondary element, so there won't be much development in the relationship between the male and female leads. It will gradually be revealed after the fourth case. The cases contain hidden plotlines related to their romance, which will be updated once all the cases are complete.
2. Every member is an important part of the major-crimes squad. The main characters in each arc are central to the novel, and are referred to as the protagonists of that stage.
3. The hidden plotlines focus on romance, but some also contain clues and characters related to the cases. Readers, please keep track of the clues and relationships from the earlier cases.
The Forty-Ninth Letter has been taken down for personal reasons: family matters should stay private. Some of it involved my family, and I didn't want my sick mother to find out, so I took it down despite the rules. I'm currently writing another novel and will publish it once the full story is complete.
