According to legend, at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, after the Chuang King Li Zicheng was killed on Jiugong Mountain in Tongcheng, his wife Gao gathered more than 200,000 peasant troops. Under the decision of Li Jin and Gao Yigong, they cooperated with the Nanming regime to fight against the Qing Dynasty. In 1664, when the Qing army broke through Maolu Mountain, Li Zicheng's nephew Li Laiheng hanged himself and died. Most of the Nanming troops died in the battle. Of course, there were a few people who successfully escaped the Qing army's raids and robberies. In the days that followed, these people remained anonymous and hid in the mountains and dense forests all year round.
