You Took My Place to Become a Lawyer. I Got Fired, So Why Are You Crying?

In a parallel world, Lin Yang is an intern lawyer on the verge of being made permanent when his law firm fires him. To his surprise, the position goes to his current girlfriend. Lin Yang walks away and starts livestreaming legal consultations. To boost his audience, he takes on the role of a lawyer who “takes the blame,” and his viewership explodes as consultations pour in. His first case is a thorny one: a honey trap. The person seeking advice turns out to be the defendant’s wife. The defendant says, “I’m the victim of a honey trap! You’re slandering me. My lawyer has already argued that I’m not guilty. Just you wait!” Lin Yang replies, “You don’t get to decide you’re innocent! My first demand: life imprisonment for the defendant, effective immediately!” The defendant’s lawyer says, “Lin Yang, don’t go too far!”
