So What If It's a Crime Scene? I Just Happened to Be Passing By

A month before Lunar New Year's Eve, the Gucheng Public Security Bureau received a report.

An entire family of four had been wiped out...

Torrential rain washed away the clues leading to the truth. A missing painting and a furtive shadow both pointed to an innocent young girl.

With insufficient evidence, the only charge they could pin on her was theft, and she was sentenced to four years.

The wind scattered her whispered pleas of innocence. Only the lightning formed by the pooling blood silently mocked the scapegoat sacrificed beneath the downpour...

Yuan Xian'an spent four years behind bars before she finally escaped the nightmare of being made a scapegoat. But at a street corner, in an instant, she fell into another trap: becoming someone's substitute.

“A Ying, don't you remember me?”

“A Ying, you must have lost your memory, right?”

“A Ying, you're all I have.”

Being made a scapegoat was bad enough. Now she had to be someone's substitute too?

Was there any justice in this world?!!!

Missing memories, a “former friend” who looked just like someone else, nearly identical handwriting, and the golden letters DID on a medical report...

What was the truth?

Was the lightning that ran through the story a celebration of evil, or a guiding hand toward goodness?

As dawn broke and the truth came into view, the urge to run away grew wild.

It turned out... from the moment they reunited, this deception in the name of love had already begun, and they were both pawns in the game.

Fallen leaves drifted down. All was silent. They looked at each other.

“Yuan Xian'an, you shouldn't love me.”

You never should have, from the very beginning.

“Xiao An, I'm sorry.”

It's not that your older sister doesn't love you. I just can't...

P.S. This story is set in a fictional world, with plenty of original elements. Same-sex marriage is legal.

This story has two female leads!!!

If you opened this by mistake, feel free to leave now!!!

(There's a bit of forced amnesia in this story, sorry about that.)
