Yu Looks to the Present

In the ninth year of the Zhaohe era, Yan Jinzhao was the legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister's household. To honor a promise to her master, she was sold off by her wretched father and stepmother, who sought wealth and glory at their daughter's expense. She was sent to the Great Zhao Kingdom to marry the Yonghe Princess's betrothed in her place. She already loved someone: Feng Mingyu, the young master of General Feng's household and her senior fellow disciple. She thought that if she went to marry in another kingdom, her beloved would be spared the ravages of war and could return home early. But on the day of her wedding, her bridal sedan met his coffin... All six sons of General Feng had died in battle. The whole family were loyal heroes. She smashed herself against the coffin in the street and died for love. Later, people knew only of a jade-faced general who swept across the entire Great Zhao Kingdom on the battlefield and avenged the Feng family. They never knew that the general was her. After taking her revenge, she became a nun and spent every day on Mount Linlan, striking the wooden fish and praying for the Feng family. At last, Heaven took pity on her and gave her a chance to change her fate... Yu sees Jin Zhao.
