Sui-Tang: I Told You to Take the Fall for Me, Not Save the Sui Dynasty

The year is 617 CE, the thirteenth year of Daye under the Sui dynasty.

Yang Tong transmigrates to the end of the Sui dynasty and becomes Yang Guang’s grandson, the Prince of Yue.

At this time, rebel kings rise across the realm, and Emperor Yang Guang leads his ministers and consorts to Jiangdu to escape the turmoil.

He leaves Yang Tong behind to defend Luoyang, making him the one left to take the fall.

To the east, the Wagang army and Dou Jiande watch like tigers. To the west, Li Yuan and Liu Wuzhou are on the verge of rebellion.

Within the court, Wang Shichong plots to seize power.

At this critical moment, Yang Tong activates the Martial Soul System, surpassing everyone in combat prowess, command, strategy, and politics.

In his first year defending Luoyang, Yang Tong leads his army to crush Wagang, recruit famed generals, defeat Liu Wuzhou, win over Dou Jiande, and subdue Luo Yi.

In his second year, Yang Tong defeats Yuwen Huaji, rescues Yang Guang, and crushes the southern kings.

In his third year, Yang Tong defeats the Tang army, defeats Li Yuan and Li Shimin, and takes Guanzhong.

In his fourth year, Yang Tong marches into Liaodong, captures Pyongyang, and destroys Goguryeo.

In his fifth year, Yang Tong crushes the Turks, rides his horses through their royal camp, and raises a monument at Mount Langjuxu.

In his sixth year, Yang Tong purges the clans and aristocratic families throughout Sui territory, ensuring the dynasty is no longer troubled by internal strife!

Years later, when retired emperor Yang Guang returns to Luoyang, he discovers that the territory of the Sui has grown dozens of times larger!

Yang Guang says with shame: “Tong’er, I only left you in Luoyang to take the fall. I didn’t expect you to save the Sui dynasty!”
