My Dad Is a Taoist Priest

Have you ever met a Taoist priest?

My dad is one.

The kind with an official certificate!

Ever since I was little, whenever I went out with him, I’d see him taking a whole pile of ritual implements through security.

Can you imagine a security guard jumping in fright when a thing that looks like a jade seal shows up on the scanner screen?

That sort of thing is just part of everyday life for me.

Growing up under my dad’s influence, I know Taoist culture inside out. I can even tell whether disaster is coming your way just by looking at you.
