I Died of an Allergic Reaction and Tried to Make Amends, but Mr. Li Went Mad

My sister had an allergic reaction after eating the food I made, so my husband angrily grabbed a case of red wine from the house.

He held me down and forced every last drop into my mouth.

“Ruoruo suffered. You should know what that feels like too!”

Red blotches covered my body, my throat swelled, and I could barely breathe. I begged him to call an ambulance, but instead he locked me in a room.

“Feel it properly. Once you've suffered, you won't hurt anyone again.”

Despairing, I felt my throat closing up and my skin itching unbearably. I struggled and clawed myself until not a patch of skin was left unbroken.

Three days later, he magnanimously decided to make it up to me with a candlelit dinner.

“Your punishment is over. As long as you behave from now on, you'll still be Mrs. Li.”

But I wasn't there when he came. My remains had long since turned to ashes.
