Love in Our School Days

Lin Yu is a confident, commanding boy with exceptional emotional intelligence and leadership skills. Xu Xue is beautiful, generous, gentle, kind, and talented. The two seem made for each other. After waiting for a long time, the precocious Lin Yu finally sees Xu Xue awaken to her feelings, and their young love is supported by their teachers as they enjoy a happy time at school. But Xu Xue's mother disapproves of young love, and Xu Xue worries about her health, so the two are forced to break up. Hoping to win her mother's approval, Xu Xue acts cold on the surface, while secretly hoping Lin Yu will stand firm and persevere just as she does. She has never loved anyone but him. Lin Yu keeps track of everything happening in Xu Xue's life. After years of waiting, he mistakenly believes that Xu Xue really no longer loves him and accepts another girl's affections. When Xu Xue finds out, she is devastated. Years later, seeing that Xu Xue has never been with anyone, her parents reluctantly agree to accept Lin Yu and talk it over with her. But the night before that conversation, Lin Yu holds a small ceremony to bid farewell to his school days and declares that he is leaving behind the princess of his youth and the love of his adolescence. Xu Xue is heartbroken, feeling that her world has gone dark and lifeless. Her parents' conversation the next day is another devastating blow. She hopes Lin Yu will have a happy, fulfilling life, while she herself is left with a lifetime of regret... At the end of the story, Xu Xue finds her true love, but Lin Yu never lets her go.
