Dong Guang, originally a rich second generation with a carefree life, came to the UK to study with his family's expectations in mind. When he first arrived in a foreign country, he was full of longing, but in reality he encountered cultural conflicts, language barriers and various life dilemmas. With financial support from his family, he lived a relatively comfortable life studying abroad until his family suffered a sudden change - bankruptcy.
In an instant, he fell from the favored son of heaven to the bottom of the valley. Dong Guang had to put down his body and step into the working circle. As life became more and more stressful, his part-time job gradually shifted from restaurant waiter and porter to the underground market. With no other options left, he is forced into the dark world of London and becomes involved in the quagmire of illegal industries and gangs.
Within the gang, Dong Guang has gradually grown from a "rookie" with no background to a well-established "old man". His wit, humor and unyielding spirit helped him avoid danger time and time again on this dangerous road. Faced with the pressure of survival, the conflict between black and white, and the moral struggle deep in his heart, Dong Guang began to look for a way out: Will he choose to get back on track, or fall into the abyss completely?
This is an urban adventure novel full of jokes and satire, telling the story of an ordinary international student's growth and transformation in an extreme environment. Intertwined with humor and darkness, friendship and betrayal, Dong Guang's story walks the line between absurdity and reality, making it both hilarious and thought-provoking.
