I wrote too much angst in Qi Yu: Coming of Age, so this story grew out of a Qixi Festival idea with an ancient-style setting… A merman’s charms are irresistible! The heroine is wrapped in Qi Yu’s pure love, finds healing, and grows emotionally. This isn’t a traditional strong-female-lead story. She’s sensitive and overthinks things, but she’s also resilient and never gives up. The story is plot-driven, so proceed with caution if that’s not your thing.
