The True Secrets of Yang Residences: A Plain-Language Edition [Feng Shui Classic]

A plain-language feng shui book written by Chen Shiyang of the Ming dynasty. Chen Shiyang's birth and death dates are unknown, as are the details of his life. Its contents are based mainly on the Eight Houses Feng Shui Classic, using the orientation of a house to determine auspicious and inauspicious directions. The book has four volumes, covering topics such as a general discussion of house sites, houses on level ground, houses in valleys, the theory of the Taiji diagram, the energy of the Eight Houses, the workings of transforming qi, the Five Deletions and transformation formulas for palace stars, the Eight Houses' annual qi cycle, and formulas for building a new house. This is a block-printed edition from the collection of Yilu Studio, published in the fourth year of the Tianqi era of the Ming dynasty.
