Enticing You to Serve as My Minister

[Cunning fox and stoic tiger]

[Two male leads / mutually devoted / ensemble cast / political intrigue / amnesia / happy ending]

Yan Jing is the crown prince of Yan, while Shangguan Ting is the sixth prince of Yu.

One is a beautiful crown prince afflicted with a hundred poisons; the other is a battle-hardened prince who has never lost.

They first met seven years ago.

Back then, Shangguan Ting was a deputy general who had only just set foot on the battlefield and had yet to spill blood. Yan Jing was a beggar he had helped on a whim.

The eighteen-year-old general was radiant and dazzling.

He said to him, “Come with me.”

When they met again, it was on the battlefield, where Yan Jing was captured alive by Shangguan Ting.

Already deeply in love with Shangguan Ting, Yan Jing used his beauty to get what he wanted.

Shangguan Ting: “This prince has no taste for men.”

Yan Jing: “Then what about beauty? Do you have a taste for that, Your Highness?”

Shangguan Ting: “It’s improper.”

Having never known love, Shangguan Ting was sharp-tongued and ruthless, with a heart like ice.

But when love finally blossomed, the ice melted and dead wood burst into spring.

As a prisoner of war, Yan Jing was escorted back to Andu by Shangguan Ting.

One had been crown prince for years; the other was only one imperial decree away from becoming crown prince.

For the two of them to stay together, one would have to give up all power and bow to the other.

Yet in the eyes of those around them, neither Yan Jing nor Shangguan Ting was the sort of person who would do that.

In the end, people discovered Yan Jing and Shangguan Ting’s “twisted” relationship.

After struggling in vain, their relationship came to an end when Yan Jing left.

A year later, Yan Jing ascended the throne. Three years after that, Shangguan Ting became a prince, with the title Jing.

When they meet again, Shangguan Ting has been sent by Yu as a marriage envoy, and begins his pursuit of his wife.
