Black Myth: Wukong: Now That I'm Reborn, Who'd Still Be a Demon?

Shi Langlang, the Yellow Lion Demon, was known as a kind-hearted monster who never ate people. Even when he went to the market to buy meat, he paid for it.

Yet in the end, he was beaten to death for stealing weapons.

Filled with resentment, he refused to be a monster again. He wandered the Underworld for five hundred years, unwilling to enter the cycle of reincarnation.

Just then, the Chosen One arrived to retrace the journey to the west.

The Bodhisattva Guanyin found Shi Langlang and offered to have him reborn as a monster. He was to do his best to survive and help the Chosen One find the six spiritual relics of Wukong scattered throughout the world.

Once the task was done, he would be allowed to reincarnate as a human.

And so Shi Langlang was reborn, waiting in the Canglang Forest for the Chosen One to arrive...
