When Roses Bloom: Love Can't Beat Making Money

[Transmigration + Sweet Romance + Mutual Firsts + Age Gap, Set in a Fictional Parallel World; History Buffs, Don't Overthink It]

Everyone says that Shi Yan, the head of a top-tier wealthy family, is into men. But to Mu Xinghe, he's a really, really good person, so good that she sees him as an older brother.

Shi Yan: “I want to date you, and you want to be my bro???”

Mu Xinghe transmigrates from Earth to this parallel world. In the blink of an eye, she's gone from a well-off heiress to an impoverished girl with no known father and no money. At least she has a loving mother, so she's reasonably satisfied.

To achieve financial freedom, Mu Xinghe earns extra money while attending university.

She writes a song that leaves her classmates in composition stunned. How can an amateur beat all the professionals?

And that's not all. She goes on to pioneer female-oriented horror novels.

She even invests in short dramas, and her business takes off. The money comes rolling in!

She likes money, sure, but there's nothing sweeter than earning it herself!

When the “family” who keep pestering her to return to her roots cause trouble, Mu Xinghe has this to say: “If you're going to make trouble for me, then we'll all be miserable together!”

She can rely on herself to give her mother a good life. Those relatives weren't there before, and she doesn't need them now!

Her mother: “Picking up my pen again, I'm still the dazzling presence I was eighteen years ago!”

As for the man who's always been by her side, Mu Xinghe says, “Mr. Shi, you've got ulterior motives!”

Shi Yan: “You can be a rose blooming freely, because you are free, and so is my love for you.

“So I, a free man, am willing to follow you forever, until you turn around and see me!”
