I, the Crown Prince, Only Want to Live a Carefree Life
World Setting
As the emperor’s only legitimate son, you have always lived in the spotlight.
Father: (nagging) “You must study hard, my boy, and become a wise ruler. Unite the world, bring peace to the realm, become a beloved emperor, and be remembered for all time...” And on and on.
Mother: (furious) “Your father was so brave back then, standing out among all the princes. Why are you such a coward? If you don’t fight for the throne, won’t you just hand it to your half-brother, the eldest son?”
Wife: (weeping) “My father deserves a place in the Imperial Ancestral Temple. I married you so I could become empress one day. Husband, can’t you help me make my dream come true?”
You’re all so noisy. I’m exhausted. I’m just a crown prince who doesn’t want to be emperor and only wants to live a carefree life. What have I done wrong? My half-brother and I get along just fine. What’s so bad about him becoming emperor while I live as an idle prince?
