Tea Island

Zhou came across an account by a missionary about “Tea Island.” It described a small island in the East China Sea during the Ming Dynasty, a hub for the maritime tea, silk, and porcelain trade. People of different races and skin colors lived together there, forming a remarkable, harmonious community under the leadership of the island’s legendary mistress, Lady Xiang.

Zhou decided to leave the study and search for traces of Tea Island. As they struggled to find material for a work about the island, they glimpsed its past four hundred years ago and discovered moving stories, as well as the spiritual legacy of modern civilization. Are strength and understanding, creation and destruction, mutually exclusive? How can darkness shine?

This mysterious island holds all the answers.
