This volume is a selection of the works of the Four Monk Painters - refers to the four famous monk master painters in the early Qing Dynasty, namely: Shi Tao, Bada Shanren (Zhu Da), Shi Xi (Kundan), and Hongren (Jianjiang). The works of these four painters are selected and introduced. The first part discusses the characteristics of the works of this painting school in a short and popular way. Under each work there is a brief introduction to the work.
