Sun Fan transmigrates into a parallel world where the game Black Myth: Wukong has arrived. Everyone around the world is a Destined One. They can challenge stages in the game and gain resources and combat power in real life.
But unlike the original Black Myth, Destined Ones in this parallel world can choose more than just Sun Wukong as their character. They can also choose figures from their country's history and mythology.
But because China's mythological and historical records are incomplete, Chinese players don't choose Sun Wukong. Instead, they make all sorts of random picks.
"I've got the mighty general Pan Feng! His great axe has been thirsty for ages. He's itching to cleave Tiger Vanguard in two, skin him, and make himself a new outfit!"
"I've got the fierce Liu Sandao! He'll take Tiger Vanguard's head within three strikes!"
"I've got the Great Ming's God of War, Zhu Qizhen..."
In the end, Tiger Vanguard crushed them all.
Just as everyone was stuck, Sun Fan stepped forward. "Tiger Vanguard? The character I've bonded with is the Great Sage Equal to Heaven!"
He crushed Tiger Vanguard with three punches!
Sun Fan pressed his advantage, defeating Yellow Wind Sage, Yellowbrow Patriarch, Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord, and Red Boy, recruiting Bajie, and finally defeating the Great Sage's remains.
But when Heaven finally acknowledged him and he was about to put on the golden headband, to the envy of everyone, Sun Fan shocked them all. He knocked the headband away and roared at the sky!
"I want this sky to never block my sight again!"
"Yang Jian, fight me!"
"Tathagata, fight me!"
"Jade Emperor, fight me!"
