Dreams and Shadows of Wushuang

Twenty years ago, Zhang Baisui, an adviser in Tangyuan County, swindled the court out of two hundred thousand taels of silver meant for the construction of the Five Elements Pagoda. He joined forces with the bandits of Wuyin Mountain to rob the pagoda funds at the Du Family Inn. After dividing the spoils, they vanished into the martial world. Linghua, the sole survivor of the great pagoda-silver robbery, grew up plagued by nightmares. When she awoke, she could remember only a beautiful landscape, which she painted as Dream Shadows of Wushuang.

When bandits hiding in Tangyuan County happened upon Dream Shadows of Wushuang, they realized there was still a survivor of the great pagoda-silver robbery and plotted to murder Linghua.

Kang Weimin, son of Kang Jiugong, and Tang Xiaoqi, daughter of Tang Qi, began investigating with Linghua's disappearance. Zhang Baisui and the bandits went on a frenzied, ruthless rampage, killing people and destroying evidence, making the investigation extremely difficult for Kang Weimin and Tang Xiaoqi. The two even narrowly escaped death.

When Kang Weimin stood on Wuyin Mountain and gazed into the distance at Moonfrost Lake, he finally understood what the shadow in Linghua's dream represented.
