The General Above, the Princess as His Slave

In the thirty-fourth year of the Tianqi era of the Great Luo, Princess Li Zhao of Green Hill set out on the thousand-mile journey home after spending eight long years as a hostage in a foreign land.

When she reached Huben Pass, a major border stronghold of Great Luo, she was happily reunited with her younger brother, Prince Yan Ze, the heir to the throne, who had come to welcome her. The siblings rode together on a white horse, joyfully exploring the city of Huben, never expecting to be caught up in a murder case. The victims were none other than the wife and children of Shen Tu Shun, the general guarding the pass.

Gentle by nature and accustomed to accepting whatever fate dealt her, the princess was swept into the turmoil before she understood what was happening, and inexplicably became the scapegoat for her brother, the heir to the throne.

To quell the general’s fury, the once-revered princess was forced into his household, where she became General Shen Tu Shun’s bed slave and began a life of serving out her sentence as a slave.

Yet no one knew that Prince Yan Ze was not the real mastermind either. So who was this unfortunate princess bearing the weight of such an injustice for? Who was manipulating everything from the shadows, trapping her in this endless mire? Was it a struggle for power, or a conspiracy too deep to fathom?

As this case within a case slowly unfolds, a thrilling search for the truth is about to begin. Imperial infighting, struggles for power, the fate of the nation and its people, the realm itself... Countless mysteries await their answers. What fate awaits the princess and the general?
