After My Best Friend and I Transmigrated into a Book, We Rewrote the Cannon Fodder's Ending

My best friend and I both transmigrated into minor characters in a Mary Sue novel where everyone loved the heroine. It took us three years to finally wake up to the truth.

She was a stand-in for the male lead's first love, and in the end, she was dragged in to take the heroine's place and suffer a calamity.

I was an assistant to one of the male leads. I was fired for disrespecting the heroine, then ended up on the streets with a broken leg.

Just as the first love was about to return home and the plot was about to begin, we finally managed to get in touch.
