Eight-Minute Sunset

[School romance / Mutual pining / Happy ending] [Sensitive girl and happy puppy] [Sweet younger girl with an older-sister vibe and a dad-like guy with youthful energy]

At sixteen, Lin Qingmai went through surgery alone and chose to forget her past. She began a brand-new life in Class Four of Grade Eleven at Linxi No. 2 High School.

What she didn’t know was that Zhou Che, who had joined the class a month earlier, was the person who had hurt her most.

On her seventeenth birthday, something triggered her memories. When she saw Zhou Che again, she couldn’t separate the boy he was now from the painful things he had done to her in the past.

Before she turned seventeen, Lin Qingmai and Zhou Che were so close that everyone thought they’d get together any day.

After she turned seventeen, Lin Qingmai refused to see him. She even hated him.

Zhou Che didn’t want to be the person she remembered as having hurt her most, so he went back to find those people and made sure Lin Qingmai learned the truth.

Because of physical pain and psychological issues, Lin Qingmai often forgets things. So Zhou Che takes her to watch the sunset.

“During those eight minutes of sunset, are you thinking of me, or of a future without me?”

…

“Can you remember me, Lin Qingmai?”
