The Poisonous Swordsman

Once upon a time in the twenty-first century, there was a young man from the Dragon Kingdom named Liu Yinghao. After completing his studies, he found a job in 3D CG. He had hoped to put his skills to good use and make a name for himself. Unfortunately, AI advanced rapidly, and it could do every job he could. So he got laid off. Then his girlfriend blocked him, and his landlord started demanding rent. Exhausted, Liu Yinghao opened a job-search website to see if he could find work. He noticed a hiring manager on the site had the same name as him: Liu Yinghao. What a coincidence. Maybe they could strike up a conversation.

“Mr. Liu, what a coincidence! We have the same name. What position are you hiring for?”

The boss happened to be online. “Wow! We really do have the same name! Looking for a job?”

“Yeah.”

“Do you like martial arts stories?”

“They're okay.”

“How about transmigrating to another world?”

Are you messing with me? Liu Yinghao wanted to curse when he heard that. He was swallowing his frustration and trying to make conversation, and the guy couldn't say one serious thing. Liu Yinghao was just about to say, “Transmigrate my ass,” when the word “transmigrate” had barely left his mouth before a powerful force sucked him into his phone and sent him to a world of martial arts.

In all the books he'd read, eight out of ten protagonists used swords. This time, he was going to try something different and write a story about someone who used poison.

The System gave Liu Yinghao a brief beginner's tutorial, then told him to do his best and earn more tips and votes from readers.” With that, a flash of white light appeared. When he called for the System again, it was already offline.
