A Juicy History of the Western Han

Read more history and fewer wish-fulfillment stories.

There is plenty of history to write about, and plenty of history that could be changed.

But I only know the Western Han. I barely know the Eastern Han, so this novel is about the Western Han alone, and I won't change its history. I respect Sima Qian: I'll report what I see, and make clear when I'm only guessing.

The Western Han is actually fascinating. It was an empire from 2,000 years ago, with both historical records and myths woven through its story. It also leaves plenty of room for readers' imaginations. When it comes to mysteries that have endured for millennia, feel free to guess and imagine as much as you like.
