I think the author's choice of material and topic is okay, but I think your story line is a bit inexplicable, suddenly sensational, and then more verbose. Some stories are created just for the sake of writing a story, so I think you, the author, can sort out your outline again. (Only represents my personal opinion, please don't comment if you don't like it)
