Wen Xinrou’s story is a warm and tender account of love and personal growth. A single, unmarried elementary school teacher nearing thirty, she has always longed for true love. At twenty-nine, fate takes a turn when she meets a new male teacher. They fall for each other at first sight, and through heartfelt conversations on WeChat and the easy rapport they share at work, their feelings grow until they decide to marry.
But married life is not what Wen Xinrou hoped it would be. Her former freedom and happiness are gradually replaced by everyday pressures and a husband who does not understand her. During this difficult period of adjustment, only her mother-in-law’s understanding and care offer her comfort. Wen Xinrou begins to regret her choice and yearns for the freedom she enjoyed as a single woman.
After deep soul-searching and reflection, Wen Xinrou decides to find herself again. She tries to communicate with her husband, works to reclaim her hobbies, and rediscovers her passion for her job. Through a series of efforts and challenges, her relationship with her husband improves, and she develops a new understanding of marriage and renewed hope.
This is not only a record of Wen Xinrou’s personal growth and changing feelings, but also a thoughtful exploration of how modern marriage can balance personal freedom with family responsibilities. Through Wen Xinrou’s story, readers can feel the power of love while also recognizing the importance of personal growth and self-fulfillment under the pressures of everyday life.
The plot is good. I like the protagonist's warmth and softness, but I kind of hate the male protagonist.
The more I watch, the more I like it
