In 2121, a human drilling submarine pierces Antarctica’s ice sheet and discovers an underwater Atlantean civilization: the Principality of Silverglow. Lin Bei, a biologist obsessed with merging flesh and machinery, completes his first transformation with the help of the principality’s researcher, Lei Yue. On the surface, the Vesteria Federation launches World War III, plunging the globe into flames. Taking advantage of the chaos, Silverglow’s deputy commander Liteya stages a bloody coup, seizes control of the principality, and contacts the Star Ring Community. When alien warships descend into Earth’s orbit, Liteya declares that she will rule humanity on behalf of a superior civilization. Lin Bei escapes the frozen abyss with his half-mechanical body, and the Star Ring genes fused within him suddenly awaken:
