In 2049, the world is in turmoil, and the shadow of war hangs over the entire planet. As technology advances and resources grow increasingly scarce, the Third World War seems poised to erupt at any moment. To stop a conflict that could destroy the world, the three global powers, Russia with its formidable technological prowess, the ancient Huaxia Empire, and Meilijian, the world’s largest economy, decide to join forces and launch an unprecedented peace initiative.
Together, they develop a virtual reality game called God’s Domain, open to everyone. In the game, nations simulate potential real-world conflicts through bloodless warfare, competing for resources and territory in the virtual world. Unlike traditional wars, however, the victors in God’s Domain gain not only virtual resources but also economic compensation in the real world.
I’m Li Jingtian, a former border guard and retired serviceman. After leaving the military, I became one of the lowest-ranking members of human society. With the whole population drawn into the game and corporations exploiting everyone, I’m forced to join as a mining slave. Driven by my ideals and beliefs, I fight back and choose to become a knight, meeting many companions along the way.
