In the Name of the People: Turning Fate Around

In the Name of the People: Reversing Fate tells the story of Chen Yu, an ordinary civil servant who accidentally transmigrates into the world of the TV drama In the Name of the People. Starting out as an insignificant office worker, he rises through the political ranks of Handong Province by using his ability to foresee the future, eventually gaining control of power and destiny.

In this parallel world, the original characters’ fates are completely rewritten. Hou Liangping, once a righteous prosecutor, gradually loses control after one mistake after another. Li Dakang, a forceful politician, becomes a pawn after losing a political struggle. Meanwhile, Gao Xiaoqin, a formidable businesswoman, rises again with Chen Yu’s help, and the two form a complex alliance of mutual interests.

Chen Yu must contend not only with the corrupt forces from the original drama, but also with Li Tianming, a more powerful new opponent, in a fight to the death. In this contest of power and strategy, he uses his unique ability to take control of the situation step by step, reverse his fate, and ultimately become the most powerful person in Handong Province.

This is a story about power, money, and morality, as well as a game of human nature, choices, and destiny. As Chen Yu revels in the thrill of controlling everything, he also comes to understand the price of power and the challenges that lie ahead. Packed with political maneuvering, power struggles, tangled romances, and the struggles of human nature, the story paints a sweeping portrait of power amid triumph and wish fulfillment.
