In May 1951, near the end of the Fifth Campaign of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the 91st Regiment, the vanguard of the 31st Division of the 12th Army, which was leading the advance, suddenly received orders to retreat.
The 91st Regiment handpicked its best personnel from among its officers and soldiers, all of whom were trained to the standard of special forces, to form a crack assault team best suited to the mission. They would buy the entire regiment time to withdraw.
Throughout their rapid advance behind enemy lines, the assault team remained eager for battle. They seized an enemy supply depot, swept away an enemy search-and-destroy unit, and rescued Li Chengdong, an ethnic Korean boy whose village had been massacred by that unit.
After wiping out an enemy outpost, blowing up an enemy fuel depot, setting roadside booby traps, and hunting down every member of an enemy scout team in the jungle, the assault team came face to face with a search party of puppet troops. With the search party hot on their heels, they destroyed an enemy supply checkpoint, created battlefield fog, took out a US machine-gun position, and set weapon traps to slow the search party down. The team then used rapid road-raiding tactics to cut off the enemy’s fast-moving transport routes, successfully creating a smokescreen that concealed the main force’s route of advance.
During their marches and battles, the assault team members taught Li Chengdong, whose father had served in the Korean People’s Army, how to use various firearms and explosives, as well as how to hide and advance on the battlefield. They trained him into an excellent soldier. After reuniting with the Korean People’s Army, he became a proud soldier in its ranks.
The facts prove that only soldiers with steadfast faith and lofty ideals can create one miracle after another in war.
With that, we pay tribute to the brave compatriots of that era, whose protection of us endures forever.
It's so beautifully written, I can't put it down
Wonderful, true, this is war, this is called the volunteer army!
Although it is not perfect, it is still wonderful. Pay tribute to the ancestors/s!
Flaws don't cover up the goodness! It's a good book!
It's really good, very good
Good writing friend
Although it is a bit long-winded, it still truly shows the cruelty of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and praises the iron will of the volunteer officers and soldiers to protect their homes and country and not be afraid of sacrifice. They are the most lovable people.
Not bad, good looking, fascinating.
Wonderful, high-scoring masterpiece
Well written, thumbs up for the heroic volunteer army
