A Flop Transmigrates to Ancient Times: I'd Rather Take It Easy Than Become an Imperial Consort

This story is entirely fictional. Please don’t get hung up on the history.

Ancient romance + transmigrate into a book + System + a little palace intrigue + absurd humor + modern woman in an ancient world

Su Mingyue is a failed author who has spent ten years writing with nothing to show for it. After yet another rejection, a blood vessel bursts and she dies suddenly.

By accident, she transmigrates into her favorite palace-intrigue novel, becoming an insignificant nobody in the story.

Though she is the legitimate daughter of the Su family, she has no desire to enter the palace. All she wants is to take it easy and live the life of a wealthy young lady.

Who would have thought that, through one twist of fate after another, she would somehow end up as an imperial consort?

“My beloved consort, I’ll reward you with ten thousand taels of gold and a hundred cities, as long as you stay by my side.”

“Your Majesty, I truly have no interest in palace intrigue. I only want to leave the palace and live an ordinary life.”

“My beloved consort, my beloved consort…”

Word spreads through the capital that a woman has fled the city with the emperor’s child, and the entire country is searching for her.

Su Wanqing, the author of a palace-intrigue novel, also transmigrates into a book by accident!

She assumes that once she enters the book, her heroine’s aura will let her enjoy a life of wealth and luxury without a hitch.

But everything in the story changes. Su Mingyue, the overlooked nobody, somehow becomes beloved by everyone!

Even the good fortune that should have been hers goes to Su Mingyue!

Only later does she discover that Su Mingyue has also transmigrated into the book!

So let’s see how two modern women fare in a palace-intrigue novel set in ancient times!
