[Mutual Devotion]➕ [Amnesia]➕ [Court Intrigue]➕ [Torturing His Wife]➕ [The Long Road to Winning Her Back]➕ [Transmigrating to an Earlier Point in Time]
The Guardian Goddess of the Ancient Heavenly Court accidentally kills the Demon Ancestor, the man she loves, in the name of the greater good. To bring him back to life, she secretly releases Pangu, a great demon from beyond the realms.
Thus begins a tangled story spanning several lifetimes…
Jieluo, an aloof and proud elder of the Immortal Sect, demands, “Who are you? Why are you injured here?”
The handsome man replies, “Someone at home is ill and needs medicine.”
After disguising himself and winning Jieluo's trust, Luo Hou takes her and transmigrates to ancient times.
Power struggles simmer beneath the surface in the ancient world. As they spend time together, Jieluo is drawn to Luo Hou.
But Luo Hou loves someone else. He uses her to search for the Soul Cherry Fruit and treats her coldly.
After losing his memory, Luo Hou doesn't know Jieluo is his wife, and shows her no mercy.
He demands, “Why was it her who disappeared, and not you?”
Jieluo answers through her pain, “I'll find her!”
In an accident, Jieluo is swallowed by lava. Luo Hou witnesses it with his own eyes, and his heart collapses. Only then does he realize he has long since fallen deeply in love with her.
Overcome with remorse, he kneels before everyone and says, “Jieluo, I was wrong. I could have gone back to save you.” But Jieluo replies coldly, “A worthless life like mine is no fit reason for the Demon Ancestor to come to my rescue.”
