Always Happy

When I was sixteen, my father sent me to Western Zhou as a gift.

During my seven years in Western Zhou, I endured endless torment and humiliation.

The emperor of Western Zhou once tore my dress through a screen and forced himself on me.

He also made me wear a gauzy dress that hid nothing and walk barefoot over shards of porcelain, leaving a lotus blossom with every step.

I let my backbone break and my pride crumble, bending over backward to please him.

All just to stay alive.
