Driven by a boyhood dream, Zhuang Xiaofan gave up the chance to attend a top university after graduating high school and resolutely enlisted in the army. His outstanding performance in every first-year assessment, along with his remarkable talent, earned him a special recruitment into the special forces. At just 20, he was promoted ahead of schedule to the rank of lieutenant. Codenamed “Ghost,” he was a sniper. His prospects were limitless, but the day before, his Wolf Warriors One unit had received orders to carry out an anti-drug operation on the Huaguo border. On their way back after completing the mission, they were ambushed by a squad of mercenaries from the Red Scorpion mercenary group. Seven members of Wolf Warriors One were killed. As Zhuang Xiaofan watched his comrades fall one by one, he was consumed by rage. Using the trees and rocks for cover, he moved at high speed and killed all seven mercenaries from the Red Scorpion group. A subsequent examination at an army hospital found that the deaths of his comrades had left Zhuang Xiaofan severely traumatized. He was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and deemed unfit for frontline combat, leaving him no choice but to retire early and return home. After making arrangements for his fallen comrades, he spent a year wasting away at home. Encouraged by his family and younger sister, and remembering the sacrifice of his comrades, he pulled himself together and went out to look for work. Never forgetting his duty and responsibility as a soldier to defend his country, Zhuang Xiaofan resolutely became an auxiliary police officer. Later, his outstanding service earned him a position as a full-fledged police officer. During that time, he solved one bizarre case after another and arrested several spies from the United States who had plotted to undermine Huaguo's security and stability.
Because of his exceptional abilities in every area and his remarkable psychological resilience, he was specially recruited by the national security authorities, known as Guoan. After passing their assessment, he became a Guoan investigator.
The writing is okay. The author can't even figure out the name of the male protagonist. After the male protagonist became a police officer, he no longer had the information to avenge his comrades. When he was not a policeman, he still wanted to avenge his comrades. Later, his enemies died over time??
