August 16, with the long summer vacation already halfway over. Nagara and a group of ninth-grade students gathered at school are suddenly caught up in a situation they never could have imagined. Along with Nagara himself, the mysterious transfer student Nozomi, Mizuho, Asakaze, and thirty-six other classmates are swept away with their school, drifting through another dimension. As they drift, they also acquire all kinds of “abilities.” Some rejoice at gaining powers beyond ordinary human limits and use them to wreak havoc, while others take charge of the students and desperately search for a way back to their original world. Mutual suspicion, uncontrollable jealousy, and the desire to dominate drive them into conflict. Faced with one seemingly impossible incident after another, the boys and girls are suddenly thrown into a struggle for survival. Can Nagara and the others find a way to conquer this world and return safely to their own…?
