Protagonist: Li Mubai
[Backrooms + Fanfiction + System + Multiverse + Divine Thrones + Exploration + Vast Worldbuilding + Blended Elements and Versions + Supernatural + Being Watched + Some Cosmic Horror]
Li Mubai accidentally glitched into the Backrooms, and from then on, the gears of fate began to turn.
Unfathomable levels, countless entities, inscrutable Old Gods, supreme authority, and divine thrones beyond anyone's reach...
We are supernatural beings, yet also pitiful, insignificant wretches, doomed to die on the way home.
We don't want to become supernatural. We don't want to be watched. We just want to go home. So why is it so hard...
Nothingness and the uncanny coexist; annihilation and despair go hand in hand.
We are the pioneers. We are the pathfinders.
We sing at the top of our lungs in a windless land, and pray humbly in a place where survival is all that matters.
We are the supernatural. We are the ones going home.
Welcome to the Backrooms, wanderers. We can't go back...
I think the themes and labels used in this book are very good. As for the changes mentioned in the first book review, it is a bit unclear. I think it is because of second creation or a bit of stream of consciousness.
