Wow, Crossing Mongolia sounds so interesting! The author rode a bicycle alone and traveled more than 2,000 kilometers across Mongolia in 26 days. This was so cool! I think this book is very similar to "Xu Xiake's Travels" in that it explores the history and culture of a country through travel. Moreover, the book also describes the grand occasion of the Naadam Festival, which reminded me of the celebration that Laura participated in in "Little House on the Prairie". I really want to follow the author to experience the grasslands, mountains and lakes of Mongolia, to see the yurts, horses, and bold Mongolian girls there!
