[Examinations and career advancement in a fictional Britain] [Love triangle showdown] [Coming-of-age heroine]
The civil service ranks are explained at the beginning of Chapter 1.
Xie Xiaochi, a girl from the slums, gets caught up in a duchy’s political infighting after her father is injured in a construction accident. By chance, she earns a place at Menade Academy, one of the duchy’s finest schools for the nobility.
In the Duchy of Layton, the rich and poor are worlds apart. Despite the financial elite’s monopoly on education and the aristocracy’s exclusion of outsiders, she rises through the ranks: graduating from the academy, getting into a prestigious university, passing the civil service exam, and moving between departments in the cabinet. She goes from intern to cabinet secretary, helping a fallen princess claim the throne and turning her close friend from a washed-up idol into prime minister.
In the end, she changes her own fate, as well as that of countless children from the slums who share her background.
Reader’s perspective:
The Mary Sue novel Glass and Wind, published by Us Reading, tells the story of Xiao Weili, the daughter of a financial tycoon studying at an elite academy, and her tangled romance with Ye Liufeng, the prime minister’s son.
After the novel is exposed for plagiarism, its mysterious original author resumes updating Glass and Wind and partners with the Us Group to release a full-dive game of the same name, inviting readers to transmigrate into the novel’s world, take on roles, and act out the story.
Rules for transmigrating into the book:
1. Do not reveal the plot to any character.
2. Use the background information provided by the System and follow your character’s profile strictly. No going out of character.
P.S. Includes references to Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister, along with lots of original worldbuilding. Please don’t read it as an educational text.
I originally planned to rate it after reading it, but by the end of the third chapter, I thought it was a novel with a wonderful plot, concise writing and very logic. It deserves 5 stars on Tomato, so I recommended it first. (Contains spoilers) The first three volumes of the story tell about the protagonist's family being killed and his experience of studying and interning alone in a public school. They are interspersed with scenes where game players descend into the protagonist's world and transform into Goldfinger. There are also touching emotional scenes (family, friendship and love). Each character who appears has a design and his own behavioral logic. Although it contains a lot of settings, I still want to recommend this novel as a light novel. The plot is not boring at all. Many characters have 800 ulterior motives, which is very consistent with the image of a politician. The more you think about it, the more interesting it becomes. Of course, the protagonist is the character that attracts me the most, and her mental journey and growth path are also the core driving force that attracts me to read this novel seriously. In addition, I have certain requirements for the gender awareness of the novel. As far as my current reading progress is concerned, the female characters in the author's works are very subjective, and there are no common insulting words for women. The reading experience is very comfortable.
I don't know if the author majored in political history. The logic and structure are very clear. It's very well written and I love it very much. It's a topic that is rare in women's online articles but I'm very interested in it. 💕 💕 💕 Mrs. Author, we like you [Blow kiss] [Blow kiss] [Blow kiss]
When I first read the cover of this novel, I thought it was a novel in the style of a Korean drama. I found it after I saw it recommended by others. The writing is really good, the writing is good. This is a holographic game background in the Mary Sue world. It is the promotion path of Xie Xiaochi, a native of the female supporting role, with the participation of outside players. I am quite satisfied that the plot is not delayed, it can be said to be very fast. The female protagonist is very real and handles the relationship with the male protagonist very well. Of course, who the male protagonist is in the end depends on the author.
Oh my god, the writing is super good. All the twists and turns in the officialdom are clearly dismantled, and the subplots of individual characters are also handled beautifully. It's a super good book! I don't know why no one is watching
I like it, please give it a thumbs up to the author✊ In fact, I really like the heroine and this story. The heroine is really powerful and does things with ease, but I really don't want to watch it anymore, because it's really annoying to be involved with a man. I don't want to watch this man blocking the heroine's path. Even if there is no later, this man is so annoying and gives up.
This book is really good. Why on earth are so few people reading it?
It's a good read. I feel that the author's writing is great, the rhythm is tense and relaxed, and it often makes me hallucinate a certain British drama... It's worth watching slowly!! I hope the author can finish it well. It is really a rare book.
It's so beautiful, I don't know why there are so few reviews. The light and dark lines are intertwined, and the foreshadowing is withdrawn step by step. It's beautiful.
In fact, if it is written as no CP or single arrow, I feel that more people will read it.
The logic is very clear. If you buy the wrong stock, you will feel dizzy 😠
