Song Yuan arrives in the Qin Empire and spends five years in a daze.
When his daughter is born, Song Yuan comes to his senses. He immediately realizes that the First Emperor is about to die, and decides to make his mark in these turbulent times!
As it happens, his father-in-law, a member of the Zhao clan, is a brilliant politician and a rare talent for governing the country. His father-in-law's steward, Ji, has extraordinary military gifts and could lead an army!
Song Yuan promptly declares his intentions, asking his father-in-law and the steward to join him in planning a great undertaking and making their mark in these turbulent times!
But neither man is moved.
Song Yuan has no choice but to bring out marvelous inventions like potatoes and hot-air balloons to win them over.
Two years pass.
Song Yuan's power has grown considerably, but the First Emperor is still alive.
When Song Yuan steps out of the manor and sees the entire Qin Empire developing just like his estate, his father-in-law arrives at the head of a mighty army. “Dear son-in-law, would you still like to invite me to join you?”
