Envoys of Space and Time

The protagonist travels through different eras, witnessing the character of each age and reconstructing history as it truly was: the brutality of the Qin, the Han dynasty at its height, the rival warlords of the Three Kingdoms, the cries of the peoples under the Jin, the brief prosperity of the Sui, foreign nations paying tribute to the Tang, the splendor of the Song, the brutality of the Yuan, the wails of the common people under the Ming, and the ignorance of the Qing.

An objective and truthful assessment.

The transmigration portal opens:

Ying Zheng hides in a heavily fortified place, trembling with fear. “An unknown land! Seal it off. Kill everyone who has had contact with it!”

Liu Bang: “An unknown land, huh? Get my successor ready at once. I’ll go scout ahead. I am the one chosen by Heaven, so I must do Heaven’s work.”

Liu Xiu: “Lihua, I’m going to see that unknown land. I’ll restore the Han dynasty to glory!”

Cao Cao: “You old fox! I finally worked up the nerve to come to this unknown land, and you just went and stabbed me?”

Yun Fan: “The Three Kingdoms must be unified under Liu.”

Yang Jian: “A heaven-sent blessing, rebuilding Huaxia. It’s going to take me up to the heavens!”

Zhao Jiemei: “I wanted to hide, but Heaven wouldn’t let me be. It inexplicably dragged me over there.”

Zhu Yuanzhang: “Zhu Di, what are you doing here? You got here before me? Stick out your neck, I’m taking a swing.”

Zhu Di: “You senile old man, what’s wrong with you? Want to find out if my blade is sharp?”

The historical portions of the book will generally be reconstructed from historical records, without deliberately vilifying or pandering to anyone. The aim is to portray historical figures as accurately as possible.

After the historical portions comes the Ancient Era arc, weaving mythology and ancient ruins into a history of its own.
