[BE Fiction]

[Light Historical Ensemble Novel]+ [Multiple Angsty Love Triangles]+ [Multiple Heroines]

The story begins in 1979, during the Carter administration. The world was in the midst of tremendous change: the Brezhnev Doctrine, the Middle East oil crisis, the return of the Panama Canal, the assassination attempt on President Reagan, the Star Wars program, the Plaza Accord, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the dissolution of the Soviet Union... These were all hot topics around the world at the time. But for the Japanese students living here and the Chinese people in America, these events seemed to have little to do with them. They barely felt the changes taking place. In the great tide of history, their presence seemed insignificant, and they could only drift along with the times. They had to face all sorts of challenges in life: making ends meet, completing their studies, and navigating the complicated relationships between friends and lovers... Their grief, joy, love, fervor, and wistful longing for one another... All of it would become a unique white memory, preserved forever in the photo album of an era.
