Thanks to Tanchun’s intervention, Wang Xifeng sees through the snares of love and gives birth safely to the Rongguo Duke’s heir; Daiyu and Baoyu overcome every obstacle and become a couple; Jia Zhu escapes death and comes up with unusual ways to keep Jia Lian and Jia Baoyu in line… The Nan’an Wang household is brought to ruin by the rebellion of Shui Yuan, a young son born to a concubine, and the whole family is implicated.
Note: The author absolutely hates Princess Dowager Nan’an, Li Wan, You Shi, and Hua Xiren, and is a hardcore anti-fan of all four. The author both loves and loathes Baochai, making her a partial anti-fan? If you can’t handle that, don’t read. All Four Beauties have romantic storylines, but those aren’t important. What matters is their marriages. Tanchun has never been a girl who gets caught up in romance.
