(An unconventional entertainment-industry story + campus life + entrepreneurship + everyone loves her)
Jiang Qifei was trending again.
She really wanted to cry.
A heartless businessman had tricked her into taking her younger sister’s place on a variety show. The deal was simple: if she managed to stay off the trending lists for even one episode, her contract would be over.
Jiang Qifei had thought it would be easy.
Who could have guessed…
On a live band competition show, she tried her best to keep a low profile, but one slip of the tongue sent her straight to the trending lists.
The next episode, she stayed up late and fell asleep during the live broadcast, earning herself another wave of online abuse.
The episode after that, she finally couldn’t take the music critics’ taunts anymore and showed them what she could do. She ended up making a huge comeback.
…
Even her role in a drama she’d unexpectedly guest-starred in ended up trending.
Jiang Qifei was on the verge of a breakdown. Her main job was being a college student, with coursework to finish and her study group leader watching her like a hawk every day. Her side job was running a small entertainment company, with targets to meet and all kinds of unexpected crises to deal with daily. Who had time to waste in the entertainment industry?
Couldn’t they just let her leave the industry?
Keeping her secret identity hidden every day was exhausting.
Besides, all the men around her, both inside and outside the industry, were crowding her until she could hardly breathe: the pressure from her arrogant, strict class monitor; the misunderstanding of the cold, ruthless lead singer; the hints dropped by a young, rising movie star; the schemes of an entertainment conglomerate CEO; and the affection of a sunny, handsome junior…
Jiang Qifei: “I’m so busy I could die. I don’t have time for romance.”
Everyone else: “We can all take care of you.”
It's a very interesting book. The author's writing style is not the best, but it's pretty good. There aren't many faults in general. There may be some details that need to be paid attention to.
