The Missing Bride on the Island

As the author's first criminal investigation work, this novel is already quite amazing. The story cleverly places a series of complex and bizarre cases on an isolated island in the 1990s. The sense of age and the closed environment interweave a strong and depressing atmosphere. The humid sea breeze, rusted iron doors, and dark old buildings have all become an excellent backdrop for the dark side of human nature. The author's portrayal of the characters is in-depth and full, and each character's desires, fears, and struggles are vividly displayed, making each case more than a mystery, but a sharp scalpel piercing the weaknesses of human nature. Although the rhythm control and the connection of some plots are still a little rough, the overall ambition and completion have far exceeded expectations. Despite its flaws, this is definitely a sincere work that makes people look forward to subsequent works.
